There are no accounts and no sign-in. The site sets no cookies.

If you pick a light or dark theme, the choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key hlt-theme. Nothing else is stored, and nothing is sent anywhere. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.

The countdown is calculated on your device, from its clock and time zone. The site never sends your time zone or location to a server.

The site runs no analytics scripts and shows no ads. We see only aggregate numbers from Cloudflare (how many pages were served) and Google Search Console (which searches led to the site). They identify no one.

If that changes, this page changes with it.

Cloudflare serves the site. Like any web host, it processes standard request data, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect each page. This can happen in the United States and other countries. Cloudflare's privacy policy explains how it handles that data.

We don't track you over time or across other sites, and no third party does so through HowLongTimer. The site works the same whether or not your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

HowLongTimer is for a general audience. It asks no one for personal information, including children under 13.

When this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes too.
